The day everything changed

It was just another typical day at the design agency. Since 2006 my career a a designer had progressed quickly and I had been rewarded with a number of promotions over the course of my 6 years of employment. I did however feel somewhat under appreciated.

Dealing with office politics and motivating a small team had become challenging and the majority of the incoming projects that hit my desk no longer sparked my excitement or my creativity, as they once did.

On the day everything changed, the studio's windows were open wide, providing little respite from the unusually hot summer sun that streamed in on us. Despite the creaking desk fans working at full tilt, the designers and myself were waning with the heat and the workload.

The drive home that day felt like a crawl but my mind was racing. By the time I arrived home I had decided to resign my position the very next day. I threw off my safety blanket and swan dived towards my freedom. I quickly set up my own creative business hoping that good people and better opportunities would follow me.

Every Day Since

I’m driven by my curiosity and love to create.

As a child I grew up with a paint brush in one hand and a pencil in the other. Expressing my creativity was a joy and time seemed to just melt away. My purpose in life was clear.

I believe I’m now honouring that young boy I once was. For over 25 years, I've been trusted for my insight, creativity and integrity that I bring to each and every project.
